Sir Alex considering incredible Old Trafford move.
Some reports are circulating that Manchester United may make a cheeky offer to near neighbours Manchester City for Robinho this summer. Sir Alex Ferguson had tried to sign the Brazilian whilst he was at Real Madrid but failed to agree a deal with the Bernabeu side and the former Santos man opted instead to move to Eastlands.
Manchester United are looking to boost their striking options having seen Wayne Rooney take up far too much of the slack. Dimitar Berbatov has failed to prove himself once again and Michael Owen got himself injured leaving Ferguson with a distinct lack of options up front.
Robinho is currently enjoying a loan spell back at his hometown club but it seems unlikely Santos will stump up the cash to make the loan deal permanent and with a distinct lack of option back at City the 26 year old would welcome any such move to United.
Anyone thinking that such move is highly unlikely may well have thought likewise when Liverpool legend Michael Owen was linked with a move to Old Trafford a move he then completed last summer.
