Emirates boss ready to complete deal for long term target.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will this summer look to finally clinch the signing of French international striker Loic Remy. With the Emirates boss looking to strengthen his attack he will look to a compromise deal to sign the Nice striker.
Remy is having the best season of his career thus far and clearly his Ligue 1 employers are looking to cash in on their prized asset and an inflated valuation reportedly prevented a deal being struck last summer. Nice are hoping to secure a fee of around £12m for the 23 year old whilst Wenger seems unwilling to pay more than £6m for the former Lyon man.
The powerful well built forward has the right combination of physicality and skill to suit the north London club and the Premier League in general and his style has been likened to former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor. Arsenal are set to complete the deal to bring in out of contract Bordeaux man Marouane Chamakh but reports suggest that Wenger is looking to more big name signings this summer.
