White Hart Lane boss sets his sights on Eastlands back up goalie.
Tottenham are ready to bid big to bring Manchester City keeper Joe Hart to White Hart Lane. Harry Redknapp is looking for another goalie to put pressure on in form Brazilian custodian Heurelho Gomes and believes that Joe Hart may be attracted by a move to the north London club, even more so if they finish in the top four and seal a coveted Champions League spot.
Currently on loan at Birmingham City, Hart is unlikely to be keen on returning to Eastlands to sit on the bench but knows that he will find it hard to unseat Shay Given. Alex McLeish is hoping to seal another loan deal for the 23 year old next term but Roberto Mancini may be ready to cash in on a keeper who they can arguably afford to sell.
With Carlo Cudicini still recovering from his motorcycle crash and with veteran Jimmy Walker on the periphery of the Tottenham set up, Redknapp could well do with another goalie and is hoping to secure significant funds from Daniel Levy and is hoping to persuade Joe Hart to make such a move.
