Bernabeu pair targeted by big spending Eastlands outfit.
Roberto Mancini will this summer look to attempt something of a coup by snapping up Real Madrid’s French international pair Lassana Diarra and Karim Benzema. The Manchester City boss has been told he will have ample cash to make new signings despite failing to secure a top four finish.
The Eastlands manager hopes to persuade both Frenchman to make a move to the Premier League side by guaranteeing first team football. Both Diarra and Benzema are by no means first choice at Real and could be tempted by a move ahead of a potential new round of Galaticos joining the Spanish giants.
Manchester City are also ready to have something of a clear out and it appears that no one is safe from a potential cull with a number of big names reportedly set to be sold as Mancini looks to bring in more of his own signings and is ready to offer a combined fee of £40m for the pair.
