White Hart Lane boss tempted by Eastlands winger move.
Tottenham are reportedly considering a bid for Manchester City’s forgotten man Shaun Wright-Phillips. The former Chelsea man is apparently also a target for Redknapp’s local rivals Arsenal who are considering a cut price£5m bid for the 28 year old.
Even though the north London side have the excellent Aaron Lennon to play on the right hand side of the midfield it has been suggested that they may look to purchase the former Chelsea man to keep the England winger on his toes as well as to cover in case of a recurrence of injury problems that have kept Lennon out for four months this season.
One wonders if Wright-Phillips would consider such a move and whether the allure of Champions League football and a move back to London may appeal to the speedy merchant. Given the amount of games Harry Redknapp’s side may find themselves taking part in next season it could be that the Eastlands man would consider such a move a new challenge worth taking.
