White Hart Lane boss sets sights on England defender.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is planning to make a summer bid for Manchester City star Micah Richards. The White Hart Lane manager is interested in signing the England international and believes he can persuade the 21 year old to move to North London after seeing his first team opportunities limited this season.
The Birmingham born defender has started just 19 Premier League matches this season and is seemingly not a essential part of Roberto Mancini’s Eastland plans. After bursting on the scene when he first broke into the Manchester City starting line up under first Stuart Pearce and the most notably under Sven Goran Eriksson, form that made him an England regular.
Having seen Tottenham clinch a top four spot this season the club would still like to inject further defensive options into his impressive squad. Harry Redknapp is supposedly attracted to Micah Richards due to his ability to more than ably double up both as right back and centre back.
The £12m rated City man may well jump at the chance of a move to the north London club and Mancini may well consider a sale of a player who appears to be surplus to requirements at the club.
