Emirates manager interested in Rovers youngster.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed his interest in Blackburn starlet Phil Jones, but he will not be making an immediate move for the youngster.
The 18-year-old has come to prominence in recent months after being handed his first Premier League start by Sam Allardyce in March.
The Gunners have been reported as leading the chase for Jones, ahead of the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Wenger has now confirmed his interest, but admits he is not considering a bid at the moment.
“He’s had a few good games but we’ve not made an enquiry about him,” Wenger told the Daily Telegraph. (Sky Sports)
Phil Jones has shown great maturity since getting his chance in the Ewood Park first team and is now rightfully being linked with a move away from Blackburn Rovers as a growing list of potential suitors express their interest in the Preston born centre back.
