White Hart Lane boss ready to make ambitious move for Goodison Park star.
Tottenham are plotting an ambitious move for Everton playmaker Mikel Arteta. Harry Redknapp is looking to bring in more talent to further boost an already impressive White Hart Lane squad ahead of next season’s Champions League campaign.
The Spurs boss is keen to add even more creativity to his side and believes he could persuade the Spaniard to make a move away from a Goodison Park side he has represented for six seasons. The former Rangers man has become a cult hero at Everton and is an essential part of David Moyes side but an eighth placed finish may have disheartened the talented midfielder who is yet to win an international cap.
The £16m rated playmaker appears happy as a Toffee but could be tempted by the chance to play Champions League football. Even though the north London side have a number of attacking options Redknapp appears keen to snap up a couple of big money additions and could end up offloading Robbie Keane and losing homesick Roman Pavlyuchenko.
David Moyes would of course fight off any interest in the 28 year old and hopes to have funds made available to him to help improve his club’s chances of improving on this seasons disjointed performances.
