Emirates boss considers summer move for England international.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is apparently ready to re-ignite his interest in West Ham midfielder Scott Parker. The Emirates manager has been linked with a move for the England man in the past and is reportedly considering a move for the former Chelsea man this summer.
Even though the Hammers narrowly avoided relegation and had a torrid time of it this season, 29 year old Parker has still stood out at the heart of the Upton Park sides attempts to beat the drop and as a result the battling midfielder has been selected in Fabio Capello’s provisional World Cup squad.
The Gunners have been looking to land a strong experienced defensive minded midfielder for some time now and have been frequently linked with move for the likes of Felipe Melo and Yaya Toure but Wenger appears to keen on adding more ‘homegrown’ talents to his north London squad ahead of new Premier League regulations set to come into force next season.
West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has stated that Parker was the one member of his Hammers squad who did not have a price on his head but that will not deter Wenger who is set to be given a huge cash boost to invest in his squad and the £12m rated midfielder is well within his price range.
