Stamford Bridge star set to lead Ivory Coast into World Cup battle.
Chelsea’s Didier Drogba has just had the season of his career. He is possibly the most in form player on the planet, who would bet against him helping Ivory Coast to a very decent finish at the World Cup, perhaps even being a genuine outsider for the tournament.
Having netted 37 goals in 41 starts for the Stamford Bridge outfit the 32 year old Elephants captain will have to hope he can inspire his side through a very tricky group that includes both Brazil and Portugal. Drogba will be hoping he can take his run of great performances with him to South Africa where he will no doubt be a marked man.
