Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is considering a move for Manchester City attacker Craig Bellamy. The White Hart Lane manager hopes to encourage the Welsh international to leave Eastlands by offering the impish 30 year old the chance of Champions League football.
Bellamy reportedly enjoys a frosty relationship with Roberto Mancini and could find himself heading for the Eastlands exit as the Italian looks to bring in big money signings this summer. Since his £14m arriving in January 2009 the former Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle United man has been a player reborn and has been a lively part of the Man City attack.
The fact that speedy striker can play well out wide as well as part of a two pronged attack reportedly interests Redknapp who is looking to bring in new players ahead of next season’s Champions League campaign. The Spurs manager may offer some of his squad players as part of any deal with the likes of Jermaine Jenas, Robbie Keane and David Bentley deemed as dispensable.
