Emirates boss lines up move for French Under 21 international.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to reignite his interest in French Under 21 captain Mamadou Sakho this summer. The Emirates boss is hoping to persuade the 20 year old defender to leave PSG for a move to the Premier League.
Wenger has previously been linked with a move for the £8m rated centre back and is apparently urgently looking for new youthful additions to his back line and believes that Sakho has enough potential to step into the Gunners first team picture.
The north London club are still at a deadlock in contract negotiations with William Gallas and the likes of Sol Campbell and Mikel Silvestre are hardly spring chickens and this leaves Arsenal looking for long term replacements and given the fact that the PSG man has had two top notch seasons as a Ligue 1 regular perhaps a move for the assured Frenchman makes sense.
