Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has reportedly expressed an interest in Fiorentina keeper Sebastien Frey and is ready to make a move for the £6m rated goalie as he looks to keep in form Brazilian Heurelho Gomes on his toes.

The north London club have been linked with a few custodians in recent weeks with the likes of Joe Hart and Diego Lopez being mentioned as potential White Hart Lane targets. Redknapp is looking for reinforcements as Carlo Cudicini is still yet to play for the first team since his motorcycle accident and Ben Alnwick didn’t impress during his Premier League debut against Burnley on the last day of the season, leaving the Spurs boss pondering new additions.

French international Frey is a vastly experienced player who has spent the last 12 years in Serie A making a name for himself at Inter Milan, Parma and now Fiorentina and could well be interested in a move to the Premier League, not least because his Florence side finished in a disappointing 11th place and have no European football to look forward to next term.
