Football - Cardiff City v Leicester City Coca

Everton boss David Moyes is ready to make a move for Cardiff City’s highly rated attacking midfielder Peter Whittingham this summer. The Goodison Park manager is ready to offer around £6m for the former Aston Villa man who tasted defeat in the Championship Play-Off final on the weekend.

The adaptable midfielder, who has worked astonishingly well out on the right, netted an incredible 25 goals last season. A fact that is all the more remarkable when you consider the former England Under 21 international had only managed a total of 19 goals in his previous six years of professional football.

The Toffees are keen to add more creativity to their side after a fairly average season and as always Moyes has to work within a fairly tight budget and therefore is looking for bargains to be captured from the Championship. A move for another Bluebird, Joe Ledley has also been mentioned but it appears that the Merseyside club has switched its attention to 25 year old Whittingham
