Old Trafford boss likes the look of this Brazilian magician.
Manchester United are apparently considering a move for Inter Milan right back Maicon this summer as Sir Alex Ferguson looks for an experienced replacement for veteran Gary Neville. Whilst being impressed by the strides made by youngster Rafael the Old Trafford boss is a big admirer of the San Siro man and is ready to make a move for the Brazilian international hoping that Jose Mourinho’s exit would create some uncertainty at the San Siro.
The 28 year old former Monaco man has been a revelation ever since he arrived at the Serie A club in 2006 and has been a major factor in the successes Inter Milan have had in the past four years. During his time at the club Maicon has collected four domestic league title, a Coppa Italia and of course a Champions League triumph. However with Jose on his way to Real Madrid the attack minded full back could be about to leave the Italian side.
Ferguson has been linked with a move for the stylish flair player before and could be ready to move in for the £20m rated wide-man who is arguably one of the best right backs in the world today. Manchester United used Wes Brown, John O’Shea, Gary Neville and Fabio in that position last term and Sir Alex is apparently ready to bring in the world class player to fill the hole.
