Emirates and White Hart Lane Mexican internationals could be offered La Liga lifeline.
Deportivo are ready to launch a bid for Arsenal’s Mexican forward Carlos Vela.
The Spanish club are also keen on Vela’s Mexican team-mate Spurs forward Giovanni Dos Santos who finished last season on loan at Galatasaray.
Deportivo coach Miguel Angel Lotina said: “The Mexican market is something that interests us. They have very talented players.” (Daily Mirror)
Whilst arguably Giovani appears to be well and truly out of Harry Redknapp’s White Hart Lane plans Carlos Vela may still have a shot at getting a run in the Arsenal first team squad. Both Mexican international have oodles of talent and potential but both have in many ways failed to prove themselves when given a chance.
21 year old Vela has managed just 3 Premier League starts in over four years, albeit a large chunk of that time was spent out on loan in Spain, Wenger appears to have too many top talents in front of the Cancun born attacker. Giovani on the other hand hasn’t had a look in since Redknapp arrived but consistently proves himself at international level and had a decent spell at Galatasaray last term.
The pair would be available for around £15m and would be pretty solid buys for a La Liga side looking for a return to good fortunes after finishing last term in a disappointing tenth place.
