Kolo’s younger brother set for Eastlands move.
Yaya Toure ‘s future is looking increasingly close to lying with Manchester City .
The Spanish Sport newspaper reported Tuesday that the departure of Barcelona’s Ivory Coast midfielder for Eastlands for over 30 million euros was expected within two weeks.
Toure has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp for some time, given his failure to hold down a regular starting 11 place last season at Barcelona. Chelsea have also been linked with Toure but Manchester City have always looked best placed to land the Ivory Coast international.
The defensive midfielder played 34 times for the La Liga champions last campaign, scoring one goal and chipping in with six assists.
He was set to be out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the 2011/2012 season. (IMScouting)
Yaya Toure is probably one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe but can’t seem to pin down a regular first team spot at the Nou Camp. Youngster Sergio Busquets has become Pepe Guardiola’s go to guy for the position and the Ivorian appears to have had enough.
Currently on show at the World Cup Kolo’s brother can only get more expensive as the competition draws on but that shouldn’t matter to Manchester City who of course can in fact buy an entire planet if they so desired. Roberto Mancini has been linked with just about every Galatico level signing this summer and whilst most of the speculation is based in fantasy land this is a deal I can see being completed.
The 27 year old is probably excited by a move to the Premier League and will be even more excited by the huge pay packet that awaits at Eastlands but then factor in he can play in the same team as his big brother and probably has a guaranteed starting spot and it all seems to point to a very realistic capture, and a good one too.
