A mouthwatering tie in prospect at Johannesburg’s Soccer City.
Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba will return to the starting line-up following his return from an arm injury and will take the place of Aruna Dindane. Drogba came off the bench against Portugal just 11 days after breaking a bone in his arm.
Brazil will name the same team that beat North Korea in their opening match. Goalkeeper Julio Cesar is set to win his 50th cap.
One booking from suspension: Ramires (Brazil). (BBC Sport)
Neither Brazil or Portugal were exactly on top form in their first group games and tonight’s mouthwatering encounter in Johannesburg should hopefully see both Dunga’s and Sven-Goran Eriksson’s sides up their games. Didier Drogba only managed a cameo role in The Elephants match against Portugal but could well start this clash and will be looking to cause Lucio and Juan all sorts of problems.
The Ivory Coast also have their work cut out trying to shackle Luis Fabiano and Robinho but then there is the small matter of Kaka who is waiting to get into gear.
