A draw on the cards in Rustenburg?
Mexico will be without Arsenal striker Carlos Vela, who has been sidelined by a hamstring injury suffered in the win over France. Javier Hernandez or Pablo Barrera are expected to deputise. Efrain Juarez is suspended for two yellow cards, with Paul Aguilar the favourite to replace him.
Uruguay are expected to start with the same 11 that beat South Africa 3-0. Nicolas Lodeiro is available again following a one-match suspension.
One booking from suspension: Torrado, Franco, Moreno, Rodriguez (Mexico); Victorino, Lugano (Uruguay) (BBC Sport)

Both Mexico and Uruguay have excelled themselves in South Africa and both have one foot in the knock out stages and progression for both can be secured for both by a draw however both countries will be keen to avoid potential top placed Group B Argentina.
We have of course been here before. In 1982 Germany and Austria shamefully conspired to draw to eliminate Algeria.
