Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing German midfielder Piotr Trochowski after the World Cup. Arsene Wenger has been monitoring the 26 year old Hamburg player and is apparently ready to make a move for the Bundesliga star as he looks to add to his Emirates squad this summer.
The adaptable flair player has been something of a bit part player for Joachim Low in South Africa but has shown nice touches and the ability to create when selected. He has spent the last 5 years at the Nordbank Arena and last season was arguably his most productive at the club.
Trochowski was previously a youth team player at Bayern Munich where he won a German domestic title in 2003 and could well decide to leave his current club after they only managed a seventh placed finish despite making it all the way to the Europa League semi-finals.
Arsene Wenger is apparently keen on the Polish born attacking midfielder and the fact he can play in a number of positions effectively and the Gunners boss has more than enough cash to play with in order to put in a tempting bid for the £13m rated German international.
