Emirates side ready to pounce if City keeper pushes for move.
Rumours are circulating that Arsenal may be considering a move for Manchester City keeper Shay Given this summer. The Eastlands goalie is said to be concerned that Roberto Mancini may be ready to hand the number one goalie spot to Joe Hart, leaving the former Newcastle United man in the cold.
Arsene Wenger is keen on bringing in a new keeper having seen Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski blunder once too often and has been linked with a move for the Irish international when he originally left St James’ Park for Man City.
If Mancini really does see England youngster Joe Hart as his first choice then there seems little chance Given will wait around and sit on the bench and is clearly a player that many club’s would love to get hold of.
Interest from Arsenal in Shay Given – Shay Given could be on the move from Manchester City. The People says Joe Hart set to start the season as Roberto Mancini’s No.1, and that is sure to alert Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Tottenham chief Harry Redknapp who have long admired the Ireland keeper.
