Upton Park boss wants Ghana striker.
West Ham are reportedly considering a move for Ghanaian international Asamoah Gyan as Avram Grant attempts to bring in new additions to his Upton Park squad to help turn relegation battlers into a realistic top half of the table outfit.
The Rennes man had a great World Cup up until he stepped up to take the last minute penalty against Uruguay in the Quarter Final clash that would have secured an historic last four spot for his Ghana side. His spot kick miss left his side to experience heart ache in the penalty shoot out but his efforts have attracted much interest in his services.
The 24 year old moved to France after five relatively successful years in Italy with Udinese and Modena and has had two decent seasons at his current club but would surely welcome a move to the east London side. Valued at around £8m he could be a very useful addition to a side who doesn’t have a great deal of attacking options.
