Mass Juventus clearout could prove very handy for Anfield outfit with limited transfer funds.
Liverpool could make a shock move for veteran French international David Trezeguet this summer as Turin side Juventus look to trim their squad as new boss Luigi Delneri looks to freshen things up at the Serie A side who last season slipped to a seventh placed finish after seeing three separate managers take the helm at the Old Lady of Italian football.
32 year old Trezeguet has spent a decade at the club and has at times been a huge success but has not been a first team regular for the past two seasons when poor form and injury have limited the former Monaco man to just 27 starts for Juventus.
However the veteran striker will still feel when fit he has something to offer and Roy Hodgson appears to be a fan and could feel the powerfully built World Cup winner could be a very useful addition to his Anfield side that doesn’t include a great many options to play alongside or indeed, instead of, Fernando Torres, leaving a great deal of pressure on the Spanish international.
Juventus are set to offload David Trezeguet, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, along with no less than 13 other players, as they look to make room for new additions.
Previous interest in Trezeguet – Agent Antonio Caliendo stated “English clubs are keen on Trezeguet, and both Liverpool and Manchester City have shown an interest. (Goal.com)
