Stamford Bridge outfit monitoring situation at the La Liga giants.
The popular Spanish website, sport.es, has suggested that Kaka’s time at Real Madrid could well be up.
The seriously religious Brazilian has been living a weird Gollum-like existence beneath the looming shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo since their megabucks moves last summer, and an unispiring World Cup will have done little to suggest any sudden upsurge in the near future.
The website also reports that the new Real Madrid manager (someone called Jose Mourinho?) has been particularly impressed by Rafael van der Vaart – a man who could yet morph into ”the new Wesley Sneijder” – so much so that he rang him up to tell him so.
All of which surely points to an increasingly frustrated Kaka awkwardly burning holes in pockets from the bench, seriously considering an “I belong to Chelsea” T-shirt.
Chelsea – that was your cue. (The Spoiler)
There is an increasing level of speculation that Jose Mourinho is indeed open to the possibility of offloading Brazilian superstar Kaka and there is of course oodles of stories about Chelsea being a side keen on signing the 28 year old. Could it really happen?
The former AC Milan man didn’t have the best of debut seasons at the Bernabeu and was indeed very much overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo. He then had a terrible World Cup and may well wonder if he may be better off seeking a new challenge, not least because the new Real boss is looking at bringing in some more Galaticos this summer.
Roman Abramovich has the cash to make a worthy offer and one would imagine the bid would have to be at least the same as the £56m the Spanish side paid for Kaka last summer but surely that’s chicken feed to the Russian billionaire.
Watch this space, this one could run for a while but is by no means impossible.
