“Did you get a call from Harry as well?” White Hart Lane boss keen on Tasmanian Devil-esque AC Milan man.
Tottenham have been linked with a very surprising move for AC Milan’s veteran midfielder Gennaro Gattuso according to reports out of Italy, however any move would depend on if Tottenham manage to make the group stages of the Champions League and only then will Gattuso agree to make a move to White Hart Lane.
It would be a very strange move, not only is Gattuso getting on a bit at 32 years of age, it would also be hard to see him playing any serious role in the fast paced Premier League which would mean that he is being signed only for the Champions League, whether Redknapp would go for such a deal is seriously open to question, but that has not stopped the reports claiming this is the real deal.
Gattuso would bring vast experience there is no doubt about that but the truth is there are better and just as experienced players out there that Redknapp could plump for and for a team that has a very English feel about it with a policy moving towards youth then a move for the veteran Italian would seem well out of place.
But with Redknapp anything is possible and so yeah this could happen, whether it is a wise move time will only tell. (FootyLatest.com)
This may well be a complete fabrication but you can never be sure with Harry Redknapp. The man just likes to buy and sell players and could well be hoping to bring in more solidity for the centre of his midfield. Would the veteran Italian man be interested in such a move? Why not?
A Tottenham in the Champions League is as good a proposition as many and whilst clearly any move for the former Rangers man would involve one hefty wage it would be a useful addition for the forthcoming European adventure.
