Liverpool are readying themselves for a bumper move from Inter Milan as former Anfield boss Rafa Benitez prepares a huge bid for Javier Mascherano, Fernando Torres and Diry Kuyt. The Serie A side have promised their new manager a huge transfer war chest as they seek to defend their domestic and Champions League titles.
Roy Hodgson has openly admitted that he has two unhappy players on his hands, in the form of Mascherano and Torres, and with various clubs circling for their services, the Italian giants are hoping that a mammoth offer may force the clubs owners Tom Hick and George Gillett to consider selling up.
Dutch international Dirk Kuyt has also made comments that seemed to suggest that he would be interested in working with Benitez again and he is a player that the Spanish boss rejuvenated his playing style by turning the forward into a wide man.
It is thought that a bid of £90m may be tabled by the San Siro outfit who as yet have not invested a great deal in their squad. Having seen both Real Madrid and Barcelona spend large sums on big name signings Benitez is hoping to persuade his former club to do business on at least one, if not all, of his former charges.
