Old Trafford boss desperate to win race for German international.
Manchester United are rumoured to be ready to offer a player exchange in the hope of securing Werder Bremen playmaker Mesut Ozil. The German international looks set to leave the Bundesliga side this summer as his employers look to avoid losing the 21 year old next summer for nothing when his contract runs out.
The likes of Anderson and even Dimitar Berbatov could be sacrificed as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to capture the talented starlet. Real Madrid and Chelsea are said to be very interested in capturing the former Schalke man.
Berbatov’s previous successful stint in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen could well interest Werder Bremen but the Bulgarian has impressed Ferguson in pre-season so he could be more willing to offering Brazilian youngster Anderson as a make weight in any deal to bring Ozil to Old Trafford.
