1. Shay Given

It is obvious that signing a reliable goalkeeper is Arsene Wenger’s priority before the close of the summer transfer window, and Shay Given is a perfect fit. The Manchester City goalkeeper desires first-team football and would provide experience to a young Arsenal squad.
2. Gary Cahill

Cahill has been linked with a move away from Bolton for quite some time, and would be a great addition to Arsenal in order to provide competition for Laurent Koncielny and Thomas Vermaelan.

3. Fernando Llorente

Llorente has consistently impressed for current side Athletic Bilbao, and showed in his brief cameo appearance at the World Cup what sort of affect he can have on games. He could be a perfect target man for Wenger’s side.
4. Juan Manuel Mata

Another Spanish player, Juan Manuel Mata, has often spoken of his desire to move to the Premier League. He is a good passer of the ball and can deliver great crosses into the box.

5. Nigel De Jong

Perhaps a bit of a long shot, but there could be a chance of Man City cashing-in on the Dutch midfielder after all of their recent signings. De Jong would provide some much-needed steel into the Arsenal midfield.
