St James’ Park boss wants Eredivisie goal machine.
Newcastle are planning a dramatic swoop for £8million Dutch goal ace Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

There has been a flurry of attention lavished on Utrecht and Holland striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel, which is perhaps not that surprising given his startling start to the season. The 21 year old has hit five goals in his first three games of the domestic season and topped off that prolific opening by netting a further seven times in Europa League action including a terrific hat-trick against Celtic.
His efforts have been rewarded with a first international cap and could well lead to the powerful striker landing a big money move to the Premier League. Liverpool are also said to be interested but Chris Hughton appears to be very interested in bringing the former Vitesse man to St James’ Park as he looks beef up his attacking options.
