Craven Cottage hitman suffers horrific injury.
Fulham have confirmed striker Bobby Zamora suffered a broken leg during the 2-1 win over Wolves and will be sidelined for four months.
The 29-year-old was stretchered off midway through the first-half after a crunching tackle by Wolves midfielder Karl Henry, and immediately signalled to the bench that he could not continue.
Cottagers boss Mark Hughes has now revealed that Zamora will undergo surgery and is likely to be out until the new year.
The news is huge blow to Zamora, who only committed his future to the club by signing a new four-year contract on Friday and has recently broken into the England squad. (TalkSPORT)
The timing couldn’t possibly have been worse. The 29 year old has had a great last 18 months and was making real leeway in the England set-up after a promising debut against Hungary last month. The injury will see the 29 year old out for at least four months and all Craven Cottage fans will hope that the former Tottenham and West Ham man will come back as good as new.
