Given the injury woes Harry Redknapp has to contend with it appears that Frenchman William Gallas is set for the honour of being named captain of the north London club, just a few short months after representing near neighbours and arch rivals Arsenal. Remember also that the at times unpredictable defender lost the Gunners captaincy due to his one too many crazy outbursts, most notably when he refused to leave the pitch after a match at St Andrews’.
All in all though the veteran has the experience and knowledge to lead and may well be the best man for the job.
