Goodison Park club consider making move for American international.
Everton remain interested in Landon Donovan despite LA Galaxy’s massive asking price of £11m.
David Moyes is a big fan of the American, who enjoyed a productive loan spell at Goodison last season.
Donovan scored twice in 13 games for Everton and became a fans favourite at the club before he starred for America at the World Cup.
Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy insist Donovan is going nowhere but sources at the club claim they would listen to offers of around £11m for the 28-year-old.
Moyes will not spend that much on Donovan and he hopes Galaxy can negotiate over the price.
The Everton manager is keen to look into the market this winter and would ideally like another striker to add depth to the squad.
Galaxy are refusing to budge regarding a permanent move but sources at Goodison Park claim they would be keen on a loan deal at least. (TalkSPORT)
Landon Donovan had a great spell at Everton last season but was unable to secure a permanent move in the last transfer window because LA Galaxy made it abundantly clear they had no intention of selling the 28 year old but if David Moyes find the finances for a decent enough offer for the attacker then perhaps the MLS club will think it over.
Perhaps after six seasons of sterling work for the Californian side they may opt to cash in on the American international. The Toffees have an abundance of talented attack minded midfielders such as Steven Pienaar, Mikel Arteta and the increasingly more positionally advanced Tim Cahill but they may feel that they can also include the adaptable attacker in their starting line up or perhaps the move would signal the departure of Pienaar who is still to finalise a new deal with the club.
