JOSE MOURINHO will move in for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale in January.

He hopes to tempt manager Harry Redknapp to do business by offering Lassana Diarra in a £25million deal.

Real Madrid manager Mourinho is desperate for a new left-sided player and has switched his attention to Bale after missing out on Chelsea and England’s Ashley Cole.

He will offer £13m plus Diarra, who was with Redknapp at Portsmouth. Mourinho, as People Sport revealed, has tracked 21-year-old Bale, right, for some time.

Spurs signed him from Southampton three years ago and his impressive form was rewarded with a new four-year deal in the summer. Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder Diarra, 25, has also attracted interest from Manchester United, as revealed by People Sport last week.

There were no takers but Mourinho hopes his offer will tempt Redknapp. (Sunday People)

Could this offer tempt Harry Redknapp into a sale? Remember Lassana Diarra is a player that the Tottenham boss knows very well and has been tracking for some time now and he seems to be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu so perhaps an offer from Jose Mourinho will be considered by the White Hart Lane boss.

Gareth Bale was in fine form at the tail end of last term and has started this season well and has become the subject of much speculation in recent weeks. The 21 year old Welshman has excelled in a more advanced left sided role and has been a focal point of the north London club’s attacks.

It would take quite a deal to make Redknapp toy with the idea of cashing in on the former Southampton man and perhaps this offer may be too good to turn down?
