French international Hatem Ben Arfa left Marseille for St James’ Park with a fair bit of acrimony after falling out with boss Didier Deschamps. The 23 year old made it clear he wanted to leave and threatened to go on strike if he was not allowed to move, this was mainly down to the way he felt the club was being run and given the awful start the Ligue 1 champions have had this season, he may well have been on to something.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looked to be leading his side to a win at the Stadium of Light before a last gasp goal from Darren Bent gave Sunderland a point they deserved. The Emirates side took the lead against the run of play when Anton Ferdinand whacked a clearance against Gunners skipper Cesc Fabregas which then looped into the net from fully forty yards in a comical fashion.
The goal led to the Spaniard being taken off with a knee injury soon after and the Black Cats continued to press but were unable to put real pressure on the Arsenal back line. Alex Song was given a second yellow with half an hour to go to leave the north London side forced onto the back foot.
Tomas Rosicky fired a penalty over giving Sunderland a lifeline which they duly took with an injury time equalizer through Darren Bent.

This is a freak occurrence but one that left Dallas FC keeper out injured. Frenchman Thierry Henry was attempted to celebrate his side’s goal and wished to do so by clicking the football away with some force, the problem was that American international goalie Kevin Hartman had his foot on the other side of said football. As a result the former Arsenal legend was also kicking the 36 year old at the same time. Oops!
