A cracker from French international Hatem Ben Arfa was enough to secure all three points for Chris Hughton’s St James’ Park outfit as they held on against a battling Everton side at Goodison Park. The Magpies had Steve Harper taken off injured just after the half hour mark after a nasty challenge from Jermaine Beckford.
Newcastle United had the lions share of possession and they took the lead at the perfect time just before the break and they continued to dominate in the second half sub keeper Tim Krul had little to do in the away goal.

Wolves took the lead at White Hart Lane when Steven Fletcher finished for the Molineux side after good build up play just before the break.
Rafael Van der Vaart put away a second half spot kick after Alan Hutton was upended in the box. Tottenham then piled on the pressure until sub Roman Pavlyuchenko put them in the lead with three minutes left on the clock.
Scottish full back Hutton then completed the comeback with a last gasp third, his first goal for the club.
