West Ham Keeper Robert Green Realises Arms Can be Used for Something Other Than a Fumble

by Mad Dog and Glory on September 27th, 2010 2 comments

Now let me start by saying that the Upton Park keeper is a good player and he had a great game against Tottenham but maybe he should wait a while before showing his anger towards the media he believes has hounded him over recent bungles he has committed. Yes he managed a clean sheet but it was his first in ten Premier League matches so maybe it is worth putting in a few more good displays before going on the offensive. After all the former Norwich City man has made a catalogue of errors since his huge error at the World Cup and he is the only one to blame for those not the evil journalists who admittedly will jump all over such dastardly deeds with great relish.

Best Ever Goal Scored By a Woman (Video)

by Mad Dog and Glory on September 27th, 2010 4 comments

Think David Villa but without male genitalia. Imagine Diego Maradona wearing a sports bra (actually don’t do that, I just did and I think I need to have my mind surgically removed). The goal you are about to see is incredible and it is by far the best goal I have ever seen scored during a Women’s Football match. The goal is scored by Japanese Under 17 International Kumi Yokohama and it is a stunning example of excellent close control and a great finish to boot. Thanks to The Spoiler for the heads up.

The CaughtOffside Crazy Daily Tweet: Leon Knight

by Mad Dog and Glory on September 27th, 2010 2 comments

Every day we will ask a famous footballer a very very silly question and wait to see if they respond. This is in part to satisfy our rather dubious sense of humour as well as to see if today’s footballers are up for playing along. Today’s victim/contestant if Leon Knight.

Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo Hacks and Kicks Opponent (Video)

by Mr Comfort on September 27th, 2010 10 comments

Now there is a school of thought prevalent in Spain that high profile players hold sway in the minds of La Liga officials. We are time and again seeing players booked or ordered off for tackles on star performers that would normally be ignored or dealt with more leniently if they were involving ‘lesser’ players. This weekend Cristiano Ronaldo quite literally hacked Levante man Asier Del Horno down in a violent manner but amazingly received no punishment and had the incident been the other way around you could guarantee a sending off would have occurred. Take a look.
