Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano’s agent has given the biggest indication yet that the Brazilian will move in January, which will likely put Tottenham on alert.
The Brazilian World Cup striker was top of Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp’s list of summer transfer targets, but Spurs were put off when quoted a price of over £20million by the Spanish club.
Luis Fabiano subsequently agreed a contract extension to keep him at Sevilla until June 30, 2013.
But, the 30-year-old has played only ten games so far this season, scoring two goals and faces tough competition from Freddy Kanoute and Alvaro Negredo for a first-team place.
Fabiano’s agent Jose Fuentes is quoted in Spanish daily Marca, saying that a move might be unavoidable.
He said, “If the situation does not change, we will be obliged to look for the exit door.”

Tottenham have been interested in Luis Fabiano for some time now, and with Harry Redknapp likely to be on the look out for a striker in January, a move for the unsettled Brazilian international looks to be on the cards.
Tottenham will be an attractive prospect for the striker, who would be likely to thrive on the service provided by such players as Rafael Van Der Vaart, Luka Modric and Aaron Lennon.
Originally quoted at around £20million in the summer, Tottenham could be looking to snap up the player at around half that price.
