Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed he is on track for a November return from his broken leg.
Ramsey has been sidelined since February when he suffered a double break in his leg as a result of a horror tackle from Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross.
But he has recovered enough to start pre-season training with the ball at his feet – and he admits it couldn’t have come sooner.
Wales international Ramsey said: “I’m just trying to get a bit of spring back in my right leg but apart from that all is going well so far. I think I’m on track, I think the target is November time.
“It feels great to be back outside and kicking the ball around again.
“I hate being in the gym. That’s the worst bit about this, it’s much better to be out in the air with a ball, even running out here I don’t mind that, I just want to be out of the building.”
Ramsey could be back in time for the Gunners’ home clash against Tottenham on November 20.
He added: “I’m a very motivated guy and I’ve missed it a lot, it’s made me realise how much it means to me and I just want to get back out there and start doing what I used to do.” (talkSPORT)
This is fantastic news for Arsenal and Aaron Ramsey, the Welsh midfielder could add a lot to the squad this season and should be back to full fitness very soon.
Ramsey was a firm favourite with Arsenal fans before suffering a horrific leg-break at the hands of Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross last season. He and manager Arsene Wenger will be hoping to pick up where they left off last season, after the former Cardiff City player impressed with a string of assured performances for the Gunners.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that the player does not go down the same route as former-Gunner Eduardo, who seemed to lose confidence after returning from a similar injury, and was eventually offloaded to Shakhtar.
Ramsey’s return could coincide with the London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
