Juventus have identified Liverpool’s Glen Johnson as a January transfer target.
The Serie A giants hope to take advantage of the off-field uncertainty at Anfield to lure the England full-back to Italy.
But Johnson only signed for Liverpool last year in a £19m deal and has a contract until June 2013. (Daily Mirror)
Glen Johnson has not been producing the sort of form that many had hoped this season and the Anfield full back has been seen as one of the bigger disappointments of a terrible start to the campaign. Juventus are going through big changes as the Turin club attempts to recapture former glories and they appear to have financially backing to make serious offers.
Roy Hodgson will fight off interest in the England right back knowing that on his day he is one of the best in Europe and any bid from the Serie A side would have to be in the region of the £19m that Rafa Benitez paid for the former Portsmouth man back in July of last year.
