Arsene Wenger is readying a move for Goodison Park contract rebel Steven Pienaar. The Everton midfielder will be able to talk to prospective suitors in January and can leave Everton for nothing next summer and the Arsenal boss is hoping to persuade the South African international to ignore all other offers for a move to the Emirates.
The 27 year old former Ajax man has been linked with a move to Arsenal prior to his move to Merseyside from Borussia Dortmund and now it appears Wenger is looking to finally land the talented attack minded midfielder.
The adaptable Toffees man works best out wide and whilst he is a similar player to many already at the club Wenger is thought to believe that a bargain buy move is too good an opportunity to turn down. Now in his fourth season at Everton, Pienaar is thought to be ready to leave after seeing his club begin the season in awful fashion and desperately wants to move to a club that can offer him Champions League football.
Arsenal are thought to be ready to offer Everton £4m in January to help avoid the possible scrum for Pienaar when the season ends.
