Remember in December 2009 when Mike Dean made Frank Lampard retake his penalty twice due to encroachment on the 18 yard box?
Dean was nowhere near as pedantic as Mr Charles Ariiotima.
The setting was the group stage of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Tunisia were playing Serbia & Montenegro, and were awarded a penalty. Mohamed Jedidi lined up to take it, but infringements on the box from both teams meant the referee ordered a retake. Five times.
You’ll have to watch to see if Tunisia score on their sixth attempt…
