Some people think of LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham as something of a simpleton, like a man with a child’s brain. However this couldn’t be further from the truth. He really is far more intelligent and charismatic than anyone gives him credit for. Did you know that he once wrote a thesis on the works of Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky and can speak fluent Aramaic? OK, so clearly we just made that up. However this video below shows that he does have a great sense of humour and appears to be able to act. Is there a career in Hollywood on the cards when he finally hangs up his boots? An Oscar maybe?

Remember in December 2009 when Mike Dean made Frank Lampard retake his Penalty twice due to encroachment on the 18 yard box?
Dean was nowhere near as pedantic as Mr Charles Ariiotima.
The setting was the group stage of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Tunisia were playing Serbia & Montenegro, and were awarded a Penalty. Mohamed Jedidi lined up to take it, but infringements on the box from both teams meant the referee ordered a retake. Five times.
You’ll have to watch to see if Tunisia score on their sixth attempt…
