White Hart Lane boss keen on in form St James’ Park centre back.
SPURS are eyeing a January swoop for Newcastle’s Mike Williamson.
The Toon centre-half has been a revelation on Tyneside following his move from Portsmouth at the start of the year.
His form has alerted Harry Redknapp, who is looking for defensive cover with Jonathan Woodgate’s injury hell refusing to go away.

Mike Williamson has fought his way through a testing time at Portsmouth, where he was prevented from playing due to the cost that would have resulted in him doing so, to salvage his career at Newcastle United who he helped win the Championship title last term and has continued to impressed alongside Fabrizio Coloccini in the heart of the Toon Army defence.
His form has led many to believe that even when Steven Taylor is back to full fitness he may struggle to find his way back into the first team. These performances have led to Harry Redknapp wanting to snap up the 27 year old to help resolve the defensive crisis the north London club finds itself in.
Such a move may well tempt Williamson but he may want to think long and hard before leaving Newcastle to join a club who already have a number of top notch defenders who will at some point return to full fitness and may well then lead to him bench warming.
