Steven Gerrard is embracing his rehabilitation process from a hamstring injury with great determination, according to Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson.
Gerrard will be missing for up to a month after suffering the injury in England’s defeat by France last week.
“He’s straight into it and he’s anxious to get back as quickly as possible,” said Hodgson. “He’s not letting any dust settle but I don’t think there’s so much he can do at the moment.”
He added: “First of all he has to let the injury quieten down and then really start to work on it.” (Daily Mirror)
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is taking quite some time to recover from his hamstring problem, but the club hope he could be fit for Fulham’s visit to Anfield on December 18th 2010.
The worrying thing for Reds fans is that he is still letting the injury “quieten down”, and has yet to perform any kind of physical work.
However, Raul Meireles has done quite well in his absence, and his good form along with the return of Joe Cole ought to make Gerrard’s absence a bit easier to bear.
