Inter Milan and Holland genius Wesley Sneijder was of course amazingly overlooked in the final three selected for the Balon d’Or but that didn’t stop him from looking menacing in this Nike ad for Air Max 90 boots.
No doubt the Dutchman was not happy about being pipped to the final running for the award, finding himself behind three Barcelona players and the release of this stylish ad seems strangely poignant now as Sneijder appears in some ways to be addressing the European journalists who somehow failed to select a player who won the Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League, as well as the small matter of taking his country to the World Cup and finishing as joint top scorer in the process.
