England can almost smell glory Down Under
Having recorded a quite stunning victory in the second test at Adelaide by an innings and 71 runs, England stand on the brink of a mammoth achievement.
Not since 1987 has the nation’s cricket team left Australia with the Ashes still in their grasp yet England could make sure that happens if they take an unassailable 2-0 lead with a win at Perth this weekend. The tourists have a poor record at the WACA having only ever won there once but they will never hava better chance as they play against an Australia side in turmoil and experiencing a curious selection policy.
As ever, there is great interest in the series but surprisingly there are still tickets available for each day of the test match. Indeed, there are tickets still on sale for the Melbourne and Sydney tests.
If you’re an England supporter in Oz then it seems a no-brainer with the possibility of catching some potentially timeless Ashes highlights in person being a once in a lifetime occurence as the Aussies will surely never be this bad again.
