Serbia international Milan Jovanovic appears to be on his way out of Premier League side Liverpool with clubs such as Genoa and Hamburg having shown an interest in signing the attacker, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old left Belgian side Standard Liege on a free transfer last summer in order to sign for Liverpool, but the highly rated attacker has so far failed to live up to expectations at his new club and has mainly been warming the bench.
Therefore, Jovanovic could be on his way out again in the January transfer window. Liverpool have reportedly set a €4 million asking price for the left footed forward.
Alberto Aquilani says that he is keen to stay at Juventus rather than return to Liverpool at the end of the season.
The Italian is on a season-long loan at the Serie A club, who do have an option to sign the him on a permanent basis come the end of the current campaign.
And the former Roma midfielder, who has impressed this season after recovering from various injuries during his time at Liverpool, is keen to stay in Italy and says that he is rediscovering his best form under Juventus coach Luigi Delneri. (Goal.com)
Italian giants Juventus may have one eye on buying a striker, but Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson is top of their list of transfer targets.
Johnson arrived at Liverpool in summer 2009 and performed solidly last season, having been signed from Portsmouth for a reported £18million. However, he suffered at the start of this season from both injuries and a dip in form. (IMScouting)
Roy Hodgson appears to be a man on a mission. The club’s new owners have not guaranteed him a large cash sum to invest in the transfer market so the Anfield boss is a planning those within his Liverpool squad he feels he can do without and this trio appear to be very high up on his list of players he feels he can cash in on.
Alberto Aquilani appears very unlikely to come back to Merseyside and whilst the former Roma was reported to have cost Liverpool £20m the vast majority of that fee was based on factors that didn’t come to fruition so the Merseyside club should still do well out of any sale and would hope to get around £10-12m for the rejuvenated Italian international.
However Hodgson is not likely to get a sum anywhere near the £18m spent on Glen Johnson but such is the strained relationship between full back and manager, that any decent offer will probably be accepted with the likes of Juventus and Bayern Munich said to have an interest in the England man.
Milan Jovanovic did of course arrive for nothing and his likely exit will hand the club around £3-4m in the kitty as the Serbian head for Germany or back to Belgium.
