MANCHESTER CITY have snubbed a bid from West Ham to take Wayne Bridge on loan until the summer.
Left-back Bridge, 30, was keen on the Irons switch – but City blocked it.

Wayne Bridge must have known his days as a first team player at Manchester City were numbered when the club spent £16m on Serbian left back Aleksandar Kolarov, and was reportedly ready to move to the Hammers in search of regular football.
Manchester City have not acquiesced to his wishes though, and he will remain a part of their chase for the Premier League title – and play the occasional game in the UEFA Europa League.
Yesterday, joint West Ham chairman David Gold said, “We’ve got 15 irons in the fire, and I mean that literally.”
He doesn’t mean that literally, unless he is also a blacksmith, but presumably the number of potential West Ham United signings is now down to 14.
