Steve McClaren believes Edin Dzeko will be a ‘good buy’ for Manchester City and expects the striker to form a potent partnership with Carlos Tevez.
City are closing in on a deal to sign Dzeko from Wolfsburg and the Bosnian hit-man is expected to cost in the region of £27million.
Dzeko has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe in recent seasons and has been a target for many of the continent’s leading clubs.
Premier League title chasers City appear to have won the race for the 24-year-old and Wolfsburg coach McClaren is confident Dzeko will be a hit in England.
“He will be ideal for City, especially alongside Carlos Tevez,” said the former England boss in the Daily Mirror. “That will be a very potent partnership, very strong.
