Harry Redknapp is reportedly planning to make big moves in the January transfer window and will make bids for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker, Unhappy Liverpool defender Daniel Agger and Man City striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The White Hart Lane boss must first secure exits for Robbie Keane and David Bentley before chairman Daniel Levy offers him funds for new additions.

Tottenham will find it hard to wrestle Parker from an Upton Park side who relies so heavily on his battling performances but Redknapp is confident he can persuade the England international to make the short move to north London.

Daniel Agger is keen to leave Liverpool as he does not feel he is rated by boss Roy Hodgson and the Danish international would surely be keen on a move to a club that can offer him a return to Champions League action. Harry Redknapp needs further defensive options due to the long list of injured centre backs at the club, he is also likely to let Jonathan Woodgate leave on loan with a view to a permanent deal being secured elsewhere.

Redknapp has bemoaned his club’s lack of a potent striking threat and will move to sign Emmanuel Adebayor on a permanent deal as he feels this is more likely to be agreed than a loan move. Roberto Mancini is unlikely to want to provide a player to a top four rival on a temporary basis but is happy to sell the Togo international as he looks to Edin Dzeko to partner Carlos Tevez up front, therefore leaving the club with no need for the former Arsenal man.

Whilst some clubs do not like to spend a great deal in the mid season transfer window Harry Redknapp appears to thrive on such dealings spending approximately £45m in the previous two January transfer windows on the likes of Wilson Palacios, Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Younes Kaboul.
